Found this on youtube. I carry a tyvek ground sheet already, I may have to give a shot at this as it is very very easy. I also have a huge supply of tyvek so that always helps!

That's pretty cool.

Don't you think there might be condensation issues? I know Tyvek is designed to breathe to a certain extent but can it "keep up"?

X2. If breathability is anything like goretex, it won't be breathable. If I'm not mistaken, Goretex reaches breathability capabilities when the moisture content on both sides reaches equilibrium. Not up to snuff for a bivy bag imho but hey you can't beat the price!

Get some bug netting and make the top all netting. Then it can be a bag/pad protector for cheap.

Tyvek also comes in a variety of permeability levels. Some are better than other. Backpacking Light MYOG forums have all sorts of info.
