More details and pictures please. May be rebuilding my stove in the near future
Its pretty easy to do,you need a titanium foil of 36" x12", in the center of it you will cut a circular hole of 4" and a little hole just over it for your door.(Door is a piece of titanium with spark arrester piece and rivet). You need 4x15" rods fornmaking the legs,4 fly nuts and 4 wheel nuts.2 titanium tray for top and bottom.

Looks good. I'm curious about all of that extra space above the door. It seems like it's kind of a waste as it will be difficult to get wood stacked up above the door. Have you found that higher "ceiling" in the stove to be of any benefit?

never even think about it...but i always feed it with logs or twigs at 45 degree angle,i always put one good log on the bottom to get some good ember.I always done it with cylinder stoves, its my first ''square'' stove,i am happy about your comment because it make me think and visualize for more improvements. If you take a look on the kifaru oval stove youll see the door is really close to the bottom, ill test it for sure and i will remember your comment tonight for the blood moon.

thanks for your help

After few hours of burning time,i will have to modify to get a good air flow, looks than my door doing the job a little too much haha!!...i will drill 3 hole on the bottom stove body,i think it will help. For feeding this baby, well, yes i prefer my cylinder stove but this one ill be able to cook more on it vs my cylinder. It have to be feed with a angle,i can't put a big log at the bottom because its short(i can cut a good log in half of course)it looks like a kifaru parastove but with more height.

So based on your experience having built and used both the oval and cylinder designs... would you say that the oval design is better if you intend on cooking, but the cylinder is better if the main purpose is heating the tent? Have you noticed any significant differences in efficiency/burn time, etc between one or the other?

awesome idea, would be curious on total weight with pipe

also what did the parts end up costing for a stove roughly? just curious how much youre saving

I prefer a cylinder stove, you can also use rods to have a flat surface.I will not lie here...of course on a box stove it will be easier to cook food like meat and fish on a flat surface but with cylinder stoves it is possible.Yes i found than i have more heat source and longer burn time with my cylinder stoves,i think it due to the shape, the flammes rolled vs the box stove looks like the flammes always try to reach the top(this is why you always see box stoves with crazy burning spot on the top,its normal,it is flat)This what i saw and what i experienced, not saying box stoves are not good,it depend on what you want and need do with it.
