Finished my First Silnylon project. 10' wide by 9' long. Uses trekking poles for support. Got it set up today. Can't wait to see how it performs!

Love to know what weight Silnylon you used also. Any Cordura added at the tieout points? I have a machine gonna be here Wednesday. I plan to work on some tarps and ditty bags.

Looks great! I'd also like to know the finished weight. Also, what did you use to finish the edges of the tarp with? That's caternary cut right? How did you make those cuts so clean?

The final weight of the tarp with 6 MSR mini ground hog stakes and six 8' lengths of 550 cord is 17 oz. The corners are reinforced with another layer of Silnylon sewn over the top. Then the entire perimeter is a rolled seam. Then 3/4" nylon webbing with a 3/4" plastic D rings sewn on to the bottom in 8 locations.

Awesome! Whats your cost on material? now to go all out...a couple layers of fiberglass mat from a Bondo kit sewn into a annex flap and a DIY cylinder stove?

I probably paid to much for all the materials. But wanted to buy having hands on the products. With that said. $110 for absolutely everything. I am working on a stove project. Won't be collapsable, but should be a nice cylinder stove . Making it outta some high grade Aircraft titanium I was able to purchase for next to nothing. Will post some pics once I get it going. Glad you all like the tarp. It was a lot of fun to make.
