DIY Digiscoping Options

Does anyone have any experience in making their own digiscoping attatchments? I have an old Nikon coolpix point and shoot camera that I'd like to be able to use on my Alpen Spotter but I can't seem to find an attachment that I can just purchase.

I have a DIY digiscope adaptor in the DIY gear section. I have made a second using a 1 1/4" sch80 coupling.
