DIY bow saw

Anybody pack a bow saw blade only? Was thinking I could rig something up with a piece of sapling and blade to use as a bow saw. Basically just bend the sapling in a U with both ends of the blade being connected at the terminus of the U.

Doable....but I think you would need a tension wire to make it work.

Ive thought about it, but never have gotten around to learning how to make any bushcraft bow/buck saws.

Mors Kochanski would be the first guy I'd look to for ideas. I think he always carries one in his belt. Arms length or so. He's not geared toward the hunter per se, but relevant
