DIY Bow Holster

I wanted to strap my bow to my backpack to keep my hands free but still be able to grab it when needed. I printed the “Holster” then machined the “Spud” and bolted it to my bow. So far it’s working well.

I was just thinking of doing something similar! What material did you go with for the holster? I've been debating trying a hardened nozzle and one of the carbon fiber filaments for this and some other projects. Considering printing the "spud" as well to give me more attachment options

I have a markforged printer so i used Onyx (Nylon/Carbon) i also did a couple layers continuous of fiberglass strands at the stress points just in case. Overall it worked pretty well.

Used to have access to one of those, wish I would have thought about this earlier. I'm thinking kydex will work for the structural parts of the holster but I'll have to figure something out for the spud
