I'm going to using a spotting scopes to take photos of an area for some in season scouting and I wonder if anyone here go the mobile route for their photographs. I'm using an iPhone XS max with a Razor HD spotting scope with an adapter. I can't really commit to a DSLR at the time and just using my phone for the time being. I'm really using it as an excuse to get back into mobile photography. I'm really curious on what ISO and f-stop settings you use.

I think your settings will depend on the lighting conditions.

I don't really mess with those settings and focus on keeping the subject in focus and removing as much vibration as possible when snapping photos.

I'm using the iPhone 11 and a Kowa TSN-99 spotting scope with a Phone Skope Adapter.

Skope on,
Tim

If you're using your phone, I would just let it do its thing on auto mode. No sense in fighting it. Like Tim said, just make sure it's focused on the right subject.
