In one of the elk hunter or extreme elk hunter mags about a guy getting shot in the head by accident with an arrow during archery season???? The victim was so lucky it wasn't a direct hit!

Holy hell how does this happen?? Apparently the turd who did it said a few I'm sorrys and ran off with his weirdo buddy. LE is still looking for the guy.

Sorry if this is a duplicate thread.

Saw it in Elk Hunter magazine...pretty crazy. Next thing you know they are going to want bow hunters to wear blaze orange.

That makes archery hunting scary, I won't use my decoy during muzzleloader season. But use it during archery season I still won't be to close to it, honestly if I can't see if it's a elk, deer, or bear for sure I'm not shooting. To me it would take a huge mistake to shoot someone during archery season. I understand he said it was deep cover but still only way I can see that happening is shooting an elk and it passing through, it could happen but if the guy said oh sh!t right after he wasn't shooting at an elk. And seen some movement and went for it. If this happened to me I wouldn't have bailed on the guy either I would have done all I could to get him to safety and took the wrath. But bailing out like he did he knew he messed up bad, maybe didn't even have a tag and knew he would be in real deep trouble if he stuck around.

Just read that. Crazy stuff. Hope they find the POS. That guy is lucky to still be alive. (The guy who got hit and the shooter, I would have returned fire...) At least he has that hat with a crazy story behind it.

I remember another incident where a guy also got shot in the head I believe with a mechanical and one of the blades failed which saved his life.

What kind of fool does he have for a friend? Trying to "throw the shot away", what does that mean? If you don't have the strength to let the bow down then shoot it into the dirt for heavens sake.
