No one knows for sure because no one (those who are responsible for “leading”) is any longer trustworthy. Sad, but only way to gain an accurate perspective of current day situations is to allow ample time to pass. I keep hearing about the increases in strain on the hospitals, but I’m pretty sure that is a very specific issue for a very limited number of high density areas.

I trust local hospital directors and MD Directors when they talk about their patient population. That, to me, is going right to the source. Here in Boise, the largest employer in the state, St Luke’s hospital downtown, is transitioning their cardiac observation unit to a Covid unit and they just shut down elective surgeries. Healthcare workers are stressed and have been working their asses off. Pediatric (kids) units are full. Covid positive people of all ages are making that tough decision to go from at home personal care to hospitals. Many end up on ventilators and will never breath normal again, if they live at all. Maybe some of you all only work in professions with middle aged healthy men, but in real life, older and unhealthy folks still matter. This isn’t a joke. Too bad about RMEF - that sucks.

Better hope Lujan doesn't go totally into freak out mode again and shut all of NM and your elk hunt down. Wouldn't surprise me one bit. ASU and UA found a loophole in AZ Gov's mask order and they are going to require masks in indoor spaces here real quick. Emails are going out announcing the changes are coming. Our numbers have risen but they aren't big at all yet. They are anxious to save the world again. Sigh

You know the Amazon people created a fertile soil with microbs that we don't even know what they are today. Tens of thousands years ago. History we never even new about until recently, and are just scraping the surface.

Whats that have to do with the nonsense....not a da$$ thing. Sure is way more interesting then BS our ridiculous government is vomiting...

I know our part of the country is isolated, but we have lots of people moving through. Thus, risk.
Some businesses here are just breaking even, finally after 2020. I feel bad for my NM friends who lost their businesses forever. That’s a whole other story.
Other than safety of all humans, whoever you are, I guess my main concern is economic. If we print any more phantom dollars and disrupt supply chains, I just don’t see it going well.

I saw a friend at the gym tonight who works at a local hospital and I asked her for an update. She said her hospital is starting to fill up with COVID patients again and that her colleagues told her that the Stanford ICU was taking in a large number of kids below the vaccination age.

It would be interesting to know how many of these cases trace back to contaminated illegal immigrants crossing the border and being relocated into cities like Boise…..

If the Delta variant doesn't get us the Zulu variant surely will. So get your shot, and the booster and the boosters booster then put on your mask, and shut the **** up!

But seriously when does the big die-off happen? Probably when that dirty bomb comes in through that wide-open southern border.

I am so tired of these threads.....
