Defiance XM and Manners EH8

Manners is inletting the EH8 stock for the Defiance XM action. If anyone here has tried that combination, I would like to see photos of your build and hear about it — other components, weight, balance, etc.

A 22” 7mm SAUM with that length action and that stock sounds pretty nice to me.

I have one in 6.5prc with the defiance ga Hunter short/medium action. 20” Proof sendero light. Comes in at 7lb 14oz loaded with the nxs 2-10x42. Stock is nice and compact but a little slippery. I am going with the manners UC and anti x for my 7saum build. Probably 21” barrel. Only pic I have is with the shv on it.

What barrel contour are you going with on your build?

I was considering a short shank Hart 3. I am not sure I want to go as light as a 2, but I might. You have a handy rifle there.

Did you ever end up going through with this build? I am also thinking of building a 7SAUM with a Defiance Anti X XM and a Manners EH8 with probably a 20" barrel to hopefully get a pretty lightweight mountain rifle.

Built a 300 wsm on a defiance ruckus ga hunter medium action. Wasn't going for super lightweight. Manners eh1 stock with their micro chasis is 1.98 lbs. 3b bartlein contour 13.5 lop 1 inch recoil pad.

The medium rokstock i have forsale on here is 1.8 lbs

Forget the EH8 and go with the UC+.

I ordered one for my 7SAUM, original XM length action that’s currently in a EH-SL, inlet for Defiance BDL alloy. Approx 5 oz lighter than the SL.
