$329 at Academy. If you think you’re getting labeled bags for the hardware, you are wrong.

My only advice is don’t buy and assemble solo because you’re in a hurry to get one side of the wind of a big buck. Trying to get this set up in morningand then hunt Sunday afternoon.

It’s a two man deal. I’m going to leave the chair off of it. Not mount the rail. Not even mount the second spot for a chair. Then try to use a rope to maintain my progress as I get her lifted. I don’t have any trees to lean to or climb. Tomorrow morning would be a great view for a fly on the wall. Hopefully I don’t break my back. But, if I do, that would be better than using the ladder stand tied to a giant pine tree that’s been dead for three years and I chop the top off two years ago.837FF0B7-0586-43DB-9FB5-8988ADFE1D9D.jpeg5F78C838-67FC-4849-A24C-CEA0346E78E5.jpeg77BD8263-E914-46B6-92EF-F072C8ECBC5D.jpeg037055C2-4B1C-41D8-B4BF-4563665D261F.jpeg

I’m pretty sure with no rail only one seat post I can get it up solo. Which is a pretty big deal. This picture is off the Internet, but I think I’ve hauled and moved bigger ones that were taller.. This one’s squatty and I’ve got no wait up top. I’m trying to get east of a north south travel corridor. This buck only was first seen one time last year when the new neighbors came. Pretty funny. They have set up stands in every sanctuary and bedding area. Anyway, rifle starts tomorrow. They will not see this buck in the current weather. Sunday will be good weather. If I can get this directed East of his corridor, I’ll have a good shot at him. 40 acres. Just have to play my cards right.

Done. My three year old first sit in a deer stand. I told him last night they were two seats in it. He looked at me very inquisitively and said two? One for you and ME!!!?884D147E-7C55-4A80-9051-8EC1BC400F9B.jpeg5E56C512-076B-4670-B19B-459D459F674D.jpegDB9C8E75-17E2-481E-B8A7-17E07D0593A6.jpegFE802DCF-E7A9-4036-9971-D70587C1C755.jpegEC81CFC9-FC26-4619-9350-77ECC4C8B960.jpeg One for you and me?

Seems quiet enough so far. I’ve puts together maybe a dozen such items and all have been quiet enough for my liking. Tomorrow pm be my first sit in this one. Wx NOT what was called for on Wednesday, but I’m not gonna sit on the couch. At least wind direction is same as predicted.

tie a rope around that child's waist please!
Completely understandable response.

Please know that no one loves or understands his next move more than his mother and me.

EDIT: When I came back after dark I think I heard him say, “I’m cold Daddy, and I didn’t see anything. Hungry.”
