December $487 prefit group buy???

223 AI with 7 twist could be interesting… for say an 18” barrel, what could one expect velocity wise with the 80’s or 88’s?

I have a factory 1:8 223 16” and 77’a shoot well out to 500/600 at 2740fps. Wind starts pushing them around past that

And what’s your guys plan for the magazines?

OK, here is the deal. I get lots of requests for different calibers and different lengths on Tikka actions. It is especially hot now that I have a sale going on. I have discussed this with Preferred, and we can get any barrel group buy into their production.

The masses want 22 and 6 creedmoor in 16 and 18". For those that want anything else, here is the opportunity. If you get 4 or 5 for any particular single barrel, I will put up a listing in the store for $487 (plus or minus features) plus tax and shipping.

Plead with your fellow Roksliders to create a group buy for the prefit you want. In your comment below, the FIRST PERSON to name a barrel spec can copy and paste the SECTION BETWEEN THE LINES WITH WHAT YOU WANT and complete it. All the following people can then reply to that comment that they will buy one AND COUNT OFF with how many people want one.

For each barrel all these options have to be the same:
____________________________________________________
$487 for a Tikka Hybrid Lite contour threaded 5/8 x 24.
SPECIFICATIONS
Cartridge
Throat
Length
Twist
Lapped (add$58)
12" helical fluting (add $138)
No threads/light contour (subtract $62)
____________________________________________________

@dirtytough wants 20" or 22" 6 Creedmoor, so I am going to make TWO comments and see who else might like a 20" or 22" Tikka 6 creed. Follow the pattern, please.

Any .22 creed barrels already spun up by chance?

Variety of aics mags.

7 twist makes lots of bullets viable.

For the guys doing 223 ai, I'm curious why not just go 22 ARC? I know theres +/- $100 in bolt work, but then you get better everything else save barrel life.

Also, no one else wants to try 300 super wsm?!?

Good question. For me, it's about the ability to shoot extremely cheap factory centerfire ammo, higher mag capacity, and the ability to also use it in ARs with standard AR mags. I'm also looking at this Tikka .223 AI as a trainer for a .22 Creed, so volume of shooting over time with ammo costs, barrel life, etc.

The .22 ARC might be more interesting if I were only doing bolt gun stuff, or wanted a one-gun all-around .22cal solution, esp a UL type build. Or, if I wanted something more than .223 AI but less than .22 Creed. Just not looking for any of that right now though. Nothing wrong with ARC, but those are the reasons I'm more interested in the .223 AI.
