Debris blowback 12 gauge semi-auto

I’ve been a big fan of this affinity and the other I have but on a duck hunt a couple days ago I was getting what I’m gonna call debris blowback that stung my cheek and irritated my eye. This is a new gun that I hadn’t cleaned after 50-100 rounds and I was shooting 3in Kent’s. Has anyone ever had this go on? I just oiled it and gave it a mild cleaning so we’ll see what happens next time…

Have seen that happen on split hulls. Check and make sure that is not happening. More likely to be excess oil and powder & stuff in action. Are you shouldering on right or left side. Left side and lots of oil can definitely throw junk in your face.

Right side, stuff in action seems a bit more likely than split hulls as it was a new box but I’ll double check. Appreciate the thoughts
