Please don't come out with a decoy bag that can mount to your frames. I'm doing fine with this setup....

Since I took this fall off of big game hunting to rest my knees a bit, I was ready to go for waterfowl season. While we usually hunt out of a boat, there are still times when I have to walk in. I'm too old to deal with the crappy decoy bags and their horrible straps. So, I rigged up some straps on my Kifaru frame. Sure makes the walk in and out so much better. I could probably carry 3-4 dozen decoys if I had a bag big enough.

Oh, Kifaru, I guess if you did make a decoy bag I'd be tempted to give it a whirl.

Nice. How many decoys do you have in there now? Looks like about a dozen?

Rig'em Right and a couple other make really large decoy bags that are more rigid and you could probably carry three dozen.

When I was in high school I thought I had to bring every decoy every time. I would stuff one bag full and sling it on my back. Then I would stuff a much larger bag and sling it over the smaller one. It was a brutal mile to my favorite little spot. Two gadwall later I would hump back out. Then wonder why I didn't just hunt deer...

There's 2 dozen in there. I finally got smart this year and sorted all our decoys. Made up two walk in bags with aqua keels and all the weighted keels went into the boat. I don't know for how many years I was carrying in weighted keels which just made things worse.

We usually hunt public lakes so it is nice to have more decoys if possible. Ideally I'd like to add a line of divers to the bag but we'll see how that goes.

I've posted this question several time in the kifaru Facebook geoup. Asking them to make a bag that'll have pockets like a blind bag and so I can carry a gun and decoys. I was thinking about doing what you did to. Which I'm going to try when I get home tonight. Do you have a grab it and did you try to use it at all?

I don't have a Grab It currently. I'm sure it would work well or a Cargo Panel too. The only real downside to my setup is you basically have to undo all the straps once you get where you're going to put the decoys out and then run all the straps when you're ready to leave. Not the biggest issue but it can be a pain when things are freezing and hands are cold.

That's my only concern. Ive thought about getting some 3 bar slides and sewing them to a decoy bag so I can just straight up attach the bag to the frame.
