Has anyone tried out the scout pack from alaska guide creations?
A buddy and I are doing the haul rd. hunt this year, and I'm looking for a day pack. I have the agc bino harness and liked the idea of being able to connect them.
The plan is to spot from the road and hike/stalk in with bows. We will be hauling meat on a sled so I don't really need a meat shelf.
I'm just looking for a light, quiet, compact kit to carry water, a rain jacket, an insulation layer, emergency/first aid and kill kit in.
If there's better options I'd love to hear them.

Looked at the backpack, looks nice but if you only need a 23 liter pack, which seems small, really anything would do. Doesn't take a special pack to carry what you are asking for. Take what is comfortable.

I have used an Eberlestock X2 for several years now. It has done exactly what you want, carries all my gear and then has hauled our elk quarters or quartered up deer. Then I will grab a larger pack for the bigger hauls.

After doing a little more research, I think I settled on the gravelly 18 from mystery ranch. I have a beartooth 80 already. I will just buy the kit AGC sells to connect the harness to the pack. I liked that the daypack can attach to the full frame and operate as a load hauler. And I prefer a nalgene over a water bladder.

I found another post in here after i asked this question(oops) that talked about using the gravelly.
Any backpack will work for what you’re planning to do up there. You could luck out and shoot one from right off the road. So if you like AGC I don’t see any reason not to get it.
And that's what I'm hoping for!

Thanks for the input guys.

Thanks for the heads up! I just picked up a pintler off the classifieds a couple weeks ago. I was already thinking about using it on this hunt, now I definitely will.
