Damaged/Black Deer Liver

Coues buck I shot today had a bizarre liver. I’ve seen liver flukes but this seems extreme, a lot of damage. Otherwise healthy shape, acting normal and even had a bit of fat on him. Anyone have any ideas? Meat ok?
Shot was double lung, died in seconds, recovered in an hr.

Haha that was the first thing that went through my head when I saw it. I’m going to try to get ahold of someone at G&F next week just to ask
