Hey guys, fng here from west central Indiana. Been hunting whitetails in SW Michigan for last 15 years, cousin got me out in Colorado on an OTC archery Hunt last year and have spent the past year digging into it. I find myself craving elk season more than whitetails now. Definitely not an easy hunt and I love that about it. Possibly going to try a new unit this year (just figuring out the point system and will OTC until I get a solid 5-7 points to burn). This year going to hit season opener instead of second week of September. Last year experience the Doug Fliuties of the woods and called in 4 different groups of hunters. Saw some elk but couldn’t close the distance. Spotted them about a mile away but were tucked on some private oil land. This year been studying the escouting and google earth alongside OnX. Looking forward to learning new tips, ideas, and gear suggestions on here from you experienced folk.
