D-loop for hinge

I’m new to the hinge release game and was just wondering if I need to do anything different with my dloop from how it is now using my wrist release. Like say using different material or a longer size ?

Just depends where you now anchor with the hinge. I used the same d loop on my trigger as my hinge (Carter). My anchor felt really good with both set ups. I could've lengthened my loop a little, but it wasn't necessary for my set up. Yours may be different. I run a pretty small d loop too.

Many will lengthen the D loop a little as the loop gets about a 45 degree turn in it with the hinge. If your s loop is to short, that little rotation can be imparted into the string and back of the arrow also. BCY #23 is great material for D loop material.
