I have been thinking about modifying the cz 600 Alpha to make the forend less flexible. Right now, it is very noodly and can easily touch the barrel with horizontal or vertical pressure. There's no way I would use a bipod and even sling tension might be an issue. It shoots lights out off a bag if you place the bag closer to the magazine area.
I know the usual solution is to fill the forend with bedding compound, but that seems like it would add more weight than I'd like. The stxk has several horizontal ribs, and I have thought about epoxying some carbon from an arrow shaft in between them. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this or has other solutions for adding rigidity to a polymer stock?
