curious anyone use Starrflight FOB's?

I personally do not but a friend swears by them. he says they are better in the wind, I didn't notice a difference at 60 yards last weekend against my sk300. I don't like them because I get a lot of face contact with them (beard). I also like the look of vanes. and like to read the blood on the vanes and wrap when I do shoot a critter.

I messed with them for a while. They work fine. They are a bit loud and will slow you up a bit but they do work. I found the best place for them was in a cross wind. The wind just doesn't effect them as much. I still use blazers if that helps.

I use them. Think the world of them. You'll never have to fletch an arrow again. You can index with your broadheads. I've always had pass throughs and I love the fact that the FOB pops off and gives you a decent guess of where your arrow passed through at. I put a wrap on my arrows to help find them and you can see anything on your wrap that you would see on your vanes. I shoot them with Shuttle T 125 grains on Black Mambas with 1 inch cut from each end and the collars installed and they fly quite well. If you get them you will learn not to shoot groups too often our you will be replacing arrows and FOBs more than you'd want to.

I shot them for a couple years. They shot with my blazers/ QS Speed Hunters out to 70 yards and had less drift in cross winds. Only thing I didnt like was how much they dropped when shooting straight into the wind.

My son is trying them out right now. Mixed reviews so far. He is having a tough time getting his drop away rest set up so that he is getting clean flight. After adjusting the rest and D Loop he continues to have a porpoising arrow & contact. The Fobs are grouping, have survived misses and buck the wind well.
