Crosswind and bow movement.

Shooting today in a decent crosswind and I was wondering how I could minimize the movement. Since I can’t decrease the surface area of the bow, would adding weight in the form of stabilizers help? I don’t have one on there currently and was wondering if it would improve things.

Any other tips?

They make stabs that are a flat bar style. That might give you more stability without increasing your surface area much.

The only things I have come up with in the field are to stalk to the downwind side of bushes for the shot and to either remove the quiver or arrows from the quiver just before the shot.

Even with all this, you still need to dope the wind for arrow drift, which is much easier said than done.
