I work with Evan here at Black Ovis our recommendation here is to get altitudes true to your size seeing as they may even run tab bit big for some people. Totally your call though dude, hope you enjoy your boots whichever route you take.

Agreed. The Altitudes do run true to size.

I have worn it a half dozen times in winter training hikes. Fits true and zero breaking in.

Excellent boot. Blackovis is a solid seller for Crispi.

Would you say the altitudes have a roomier toe box like laponnia gen 1 or narrower toe box like a summit?

I would say they are a more narrow fitting boot. Probably more in the area of the summit maybe a little bit more narrow.
