Ok, I'm a constantly tinkerer. Pack, repack, hunt, shift, camp, what if I out this hear...pondering as I ruck too.
That said, I run a sawtooth 45 on a guide light. I weigh in at 23.3 lbs. I feel I pack well, organized.

Roughly 1/3rd pack inside, could double each interior zipper, top exterior zip I have no need for more. 2 days food, 3l water, 20*bag. Hunt sept-march+predators.
That said...
I'm considering picking up the mystery ranch back strap

And running a three seek outside wingspan:

I'd figure 1 in the dead center of the back strap, 2 that flank over top, overlapping the center one, but meeting at the zipper of the center bag.
So the wingspans wingspan, would be 16 wide, whereas the sawtooth is 15 wide. The sawtooth is 29 tall, where as the wingspan is 24. Sawtooth being 12 deep, wingspan 8.
Cubic inches from 2745 on the sawtooth to 3600 with 3 wingspans.
My 1 hesitation, can the swingout carry a sleeping bag stuffed well? Hardshell?
If a set of snowshoes were strapped to them, they take abrasion decent given all the movement?
How stretchy/taught/ reliant are the zippers in regards to having the tightening pull at the links?
What are the attachments like?
Hollering out to kifaru straight jacket guys, and seek outside guys/testers on input
Edit to add:
Doing so, roughly, would drop 5 pounds, +/- (not an ounce counter, so I'm rounding), and lighter up my wallet equally
