So on a scouting trip this weekend I was about 10 miles in sitting on top of a ridge glassing a basin when out of nowhere two hikers appeared I was not too happy to say the least I had cross countried off the trail a good mile and thought I was good. Well after a few minutes I was able to tell these hikers were females in their mid 20's and they were walking toward a little lake in the bottom. Before I knew it both of them were stripping clothes off and skinny dipping than laid out on a rock to sunbathe naked (no tan lines I guess). It was a very interesting couple hours to say the least. Got me thinking if anyone has whitnessed anything unexpected.

Not high country, completely the opposite. Bow hunting just outside of the Chicago area, I was in a tree when two women walked through the woods, spread out a blanket and started making out and groping each other thirty yards from my stand. It didn't get x-rated, but it was interesting.

Also had a homeless guy set up camp near one of my stand sites.

I once saw a movie that started very, very similar to this.

My wife, two daughters and I were out fishing an alpine lake for brookies on the July long weekend. We had caught enough fish for supper so we started to release any future fish. My wife had a nice little two pounder on her line, she got it in the canoe and I took it off the hook and put it back in the lake. It disappeared into the deep and then a second later it came sailing out of the water and landed back in the canoe scaring the sh!t out of my two little girls! The second release was successful.

I was pre season scouting in a blind and fell asleep. I woke up to a woman saying she had a gun and I should leave. When I got her calmed down and explained I wasnt homeless, as she thought and I was looking for deer she laughed and said I was a shitty ass hunter as there were three big bucks standing in front of my blind when she walked up.

Very true. My email is [email protected] and my number is 775-513-0568. Ill believe it when I see it! :)

You sure you want that? We have not heard the answer to the hairy question yet...
I went to college in a mountain town with a bunch of granolas so there was not a big "selection" of girls. There was nothing worse that finding a reasonably attractive women who lifts up her arm to reveal more hair than I have on my head (granted I am mostly bald at 30). Needless to say I spent most of my time chasing ducks, bucks and bulls and left the granolas to their patchouli.

Well maybe not crazy, but interesting. This weekend I went on a scouting trip in CO Unit 44 (I am from OK). I get my rental truck and get out in the unit to find a place to pack into for the night. So, I get up to about 10K and it's storming like hell and I look to the side of the road under some pines in the middle of nowhere I see an old couple (I'm 50 mind you, so old to me is old) with two mules and five dogs waving at me. I stop and ask them if I can help. They were 5 miles from where their camp was (they run a USFS cattle lease) with no rain gear, not even jackets and it was hailing and only 40 degrees. They were close to getting hypothermia. I told them I could help them, but the Mules and dogs were on their own. So, they slapped the mules on the ass and sent the dogs with the mules. I got them in the truck, heated them up and took them back to camp. You just never know what you will find out there. No for that you think they would have told me where the Elk were, not a chance :)

Now fast forward a day. I take a little break from scouting and I am fishing for trout in a creek. I find a good spot and catch a Brookie. Let him of the hook and step onto a pile of wood with a Wasps nest. Man if you would of had a video camera on me, what fun that would have been. Luckily I moved fast enough I only got stung twice.

That's what I love about being out there, you just never know.

It was the Appalachians not the Rockies and I was the seen not the observer. It was the summer between 7th and 8th grade and my first and I had hiked up hounds ears rocks to fish. Man did that girl like to ...fish :D. Being the animals we were we were doing the wild thing when two fishermen came up behind us. I have no idea how long they were there but they were standing there watching when we finished. I would love to find another fishing partner like Allison :).
