There are not many Costcos around my house, mostly Sams Club, but we joined on a Groupon the other day and are headed there shortly. Other than the Costco Puffy for $33, what other Costco gear should I look at that including stuff that is typically found in store only? First year back west and still rounding out my stuff - truck camping archery elk.

I have some of their socks and pants as well. Socks are a little softer and less durable than farm to feet/Darn tough but I still Like them especially for the price. I’ve also been sporting those pants all summer. They’re a bit swishy for sound but not horrible and They’re comfortable. Trekking poles as well.

They usually have good deals on coolers. I use their trekking poles, the wool socks, and "weather proof" pants that are pretty similar to my Prana zion pants.

I now have at least one of all the major non hunting branded archery pants...got the UB pants. They did not carry the Gerry Puffy there 🙁

I got 2 pairs of DT full cushion hikers so I am good there.

I’ll order the puffy online.

Edit to add I’m at one pair UB, one Prana Zion stretch, three WM Wranglers and 2 EB Guide Pros. I’m ghetto fabulous!

I forgot the trail mix.

I went through yesterday to do a survey of food stuff I was going to get. I'm shopping for 6 guys, we eat pretty good too. They had a nice selection of crab legs.

I saw the trail mix and then forgot to check it out before I left. I didn't see any trekking poles but I have a set $20 WM Cascade aluminums for now.

I also saw the crab legs and they looked like they were about 4' long. They were gigantic.

The down throw blankets are nice too. During the hot summer months that's all I use to camp with.

X 2 on the carbon trekking poles, dried mangoes (with or without sugar), probiotic dried apricots, seasoned tri-tip, pork shoulder and just about anything else you can find there. I can't think of anything I've bought that I've regretted.

Problem with Costco is that it costs me a fortune every time I step through the door. They have things I didn't even know I needed until I saw it...

Costco the home of impulse buys. Ive went in for one small item and left with a cart full. They had Eddie Bauer puffy jackets last year for $39 that were awesome. I love their frozen sirloin burger patty rolls. It can be a good place to buy bourbon also based on the bourbon thread.

Forgot about the liquor! Unfortunately Utah stores don't allow Costco to have a liquor license so they only sell beer. BUT I've definitely stocked up in Vegas and ID on my way back. The private Kirkland label stuff is the same as the bottles next to it. Their Canadian whiskey is crown but nearly half the price. Their vodka is Skyy and again, is nearly half the price...

3D I spent the past 21 years in so cal tri tip is a big deal in much of CA. Started out years ago as a cheap meat with little notoriety but it now has a name. Moved back to IL and walked into a local small butcher shop and they were selling it. I try to give it a good rub there a bunch on the internet most have kosher salt, granulated garlic, ground black pepper, white pepper, cayenne, etc. I try to get them on a hot grill to get a crust then move them to the upper level on my kamado joe to slow it down to a medium rare finish. Eat it like steak make strips for tacos or burritos. Costco sells good trimmed tri tip.

I buy most my hunting food from there including Zip fizz, mountain house meals, almonds, jerky, protein bars, fruit snacks, the big muffins and I used to buy Starbucks Vias from there but now switched to the Black Rifle instant coffee. I have also bought my batteries, long underwear, wool socks, trekking poles and down jacket from there. I just bought a box of 15 Mountain House meals and a box 42 protein bars from there yesterday for like $80. You can't beat their prices.
