Corrugate vs. obsidian

Both man both.
Different things for different seasons.
The Obsidians are may favorite by far like wearing pajamas. Highly breathable, so much so if its dusty your legs will get dirty. They are super quite, but they are fragile,.and will absorb water easily, wool sp you shouldn't get cold, but you will be wet.

Corrugate is more durable, and handles weather better, more wind resistant, but dont breath quite as well.
If you can only have one I'd go corrugate.
But I like my obsidians for the dry and hot.
Haven't tested them in the dry cold.

I love the Corrugate's, I put vents in mine. The Obsidians are great early season pants. They let in too much wind on the cold days in late September and October. The Corrugate pants are also much tougher than the Obsidians.

I still have 2 pairs of kanab s to run through before I buy some obsidians, but they are similar. They are comfy and quiet. I put them in the same category with Sitka ascents and kuiu tiburons. Good for dry and not too cold conditions. If I am facing wind or wet from either rain, snow or just damp ground and cold is an issue I switch to the corrugates or a set of kuiu attacks. Probably an even toss up. I like the fit better on the corrugates but like the hip vents on the attacks. If FL came out with a set of corrugates with vents I would be all over that.

I got both and agree with pretty much everything said in the above posts.

Corregulates are pretty versatile as an all around pair of pants. I own 2 pairs in solids I wear all the time for non-outdoor or hunting activities.

I also love my corrugates, got any pics of the vents though? Would love to add some to mine.
