Cooper M52 won’t extract snap caps

Howdy all!

I just ordered some snap caps for this 7mag and it won’t extract them. Has anyone ever encountered this before with these coppers?

I don't use snap caps. But I own three Coopers. It's my understanding that Arkansas Cooper is up and running. Send them an email.

I contacted them and they requested the rifle in.

I emailed them on an unrelated matter earlier this year looking for a spare breech plug and they indicated that each rifle was unique. If I wanted a spare, the MZ would have to be sent in, and they'd have to make one custom to that rifle. That said, if your rifle shoots to your expectations and chambers and extracts without problem, I'd probably give the stink eye to the plastic snap cap being out of spec and knock it out with a cleaning rod.

I have had the rims on snap caps fail. They either break or the rim gets worn down.
