Coolest birthday gift ever!!!

So tomorrow is my 40th. Or maybe it's my 39th again. I haven't decided yet. Anyway my folks are down visiting and I got the coolest gift ever. I got my grandpas winchester 30-30! The story of that gun is pretty cool. My grandma scrimped and saved for ever squirreling away money to buy it. She bought it from a western auto in 1952 for him. The first year he hunted with it he killed a nice buck( whitetail) in Pa. he's since passed. My 2 uncles killed there first deer with that rifle. One of which has passed. My dad also killed his first deer with this rifle. 3 of my cousins killed tgeir first with it and I killed my first deer with this rifle. The sentimental value to this gun is HUGE and I'm honored to have it in my safe. Not many would understand this type of stuff but I have a feeling a few on here know what it means. I may need to take the old girl and some ghosts for a walk in the woods this deer season. It almost brought tears to my eyes when I opened it up.

very much.... congrats on a family heirloom. Prices can't replace these.... I have 2 30/30's (one marlin, one win) that don't hold much monetary value but with similar family stories they cannot be replaced.

Very cool. The 30.30 in our family has also been passed down. My father, myself and my son all got their first deer with it. Money value? Little. Family value? Priceless.
