Considering a 2020 tundra....

I just picked up a 2017 about 2 months ago. I had a gmc for a little but but it started leaking oil so I had that fixed under warranty and sold the truck to buy a tundra. I had a Tacoma previous to the gmc and it was a great truck but to small for a family vehicle. Talking about gas mileage the Tacoma only got around 16 mpg with 33" tires. considering that the tundra with a 5.7 isn't bad with a lot more motor.

I’ve heard a few models don’t allow you to turn off traction control in 4-low…….that seems like an instant “no way” for me……but I’m currently not shopping for a new truck & haven’t confirmed the information stated above

You can turn it off, they just make it a pain. It isn't as simple as pushing a button.

Changed my mind on spraying in a bed liner. Talked to the Line X and decided to go with it. I have a Diamond back cover that is going over it. It’s sitting in a shipping terminal and hour away and not being delivered till next Tuesday. I am half tempted to ride up and grab it. Only other thing is put a set of running boards on cause my wife was complaining she had to take her heels off to jump in and the kids were scrambling up.

Just saw my first 2022 pro at the dealer yesterday. Beautiful truck... I'll be saving up for a '25ish model, give them a few years to get the hybrid and 10 speed really dialed in. Crawl control and almost 500hp is too tempting.... lol. Won't be getting rid of the 5.7 though, it's too damn bulletproof to ever sell. Although I am tempted to trade up to a lower mileage 17-20 pro if I see one in good shape that doesn't cost both arms, a leg and a kidney.

I had a 2010 and 2018 both with the 4.6l and loved them never had an issue with either of them, I regret selling my 2018, it was in the FDE color, but during COVID the dealer offered me $10k over what I paid and I stupidly sold it. Had some tax issues last year and tried to buy a tundra and couldn't find one. Ironically I ended up ordering a Refreshed Silverado with the little duramax, which I picked up about 3 weeks ago, so far I like it and its nicer than the Tundra but not sure if I like it more yet. I definitely like the MPG's more. But you can't go wrong with the Tundra from a reliability standpoint.
