The rubber toe protection on my hanwag mnt lts is starting to dry up and crack. Is there something i can use to condition it to last longer and stop the cracks???

How old are they? Does Hanwag have a US rep agency? I wonder if you'd be able to send them back to the mfg rep and have them repaired? High end boot companies usually take care of their customers.

Otherwise, maybe consult a local cobbler to see if they could replace. Only other thing I can think of for rubber is tire type treatment like armorall but I kind of doubt that would do much. Maybe a coat of Sno-Seal so if fails you've got some leather treatment in place.....I don't know, I'm kind of grasping for straws. I'd start with a Rep for Hanwag, then try a cobbler to do it properly.

A guy I've used before is Dave Page in Seattle. I think he can resole about anything that is capable of it. He is authorized by many manufacturers as well. http://www.davepagecobbler.com/
