I don't mean to downplay the impact to human lives in any way, we can all agree the loss in that arena is tragic. However, what is the additional impact to wildlife, habitat, etc? An old coworker sent me a video of the helicopter flooding survey that passed over the ranch we used to work just outside Estes Park. It looked more like a mud ski resort. I couldn't help but think of the pastures under that mudslide where I used to watch the elk duke it out during the rut. Have they started discussing the wildlife impact yet?
Thoughts and prayers go out to anyone eperiencing loss due to the recent flooding.
