Just found out I drew a CO unit G-3 goat tag. It's going to be a fun summer learning the unit and I'm definitely going to make the most of it.

G-5 here I come!!!!
I'm now ready for the snow to stop as I know almost nothing about this area and I am ready to check it out, but I have a feeling it may be awhile.

The snow is pretty much melted down here, you can already get into a lot of the unit especially the areas around Silverton

Thanks orion! I will head down sometime this month and start looking around then as I don't have much of a clue about this unit. I have passed thru the country and camped in Eureka a few nights but that's about it.

Thanks Orion, looks like Memorial day weekend we will be down, wife has always wanted to ride the train so at least I can see what that is all about. I don't suppose they would let me carry my Bow in my lap come hunting season vs. putting it in the boxcar?

They might the train is pretty cool towards hunters, even had buddies get picked up with their goats to get back into town

My packet was in the mail today, but no tag so I called and the DOW told me tags were going out tomorrow.
