Colorado Backdoor - 2016

Does anyone know when the backdoor will be open? I looked at last years and it looks like it should be open in the next few days. Has anyone talked to the G&F to see when they are doing the draw?

I talked to a guy at P and W and he told me that this year they have deleted the "backdoor" option. Now that was for the pts way of finding out. Still not sure about the 400 vs 500 number or whether that will be an option. I know that it didn't work for my goat and sheep tags that came out earlier this week. Which yet again- I did not draw

I checked mine and I have a 491 for my deer app. From what I understand that just means I have an application on file.

Does anyone know when they are supposed to do the draw?

My apps had the 400 (application) number attached from when they were accepted til last wednesday. Are you saying if I were to have drawn there would have been an additional 500 number there?

I just started this year... it will be a LONG time. I did hit 5pts for elk this year though, so I can start putting in for the hybrid draw.

All my apps are still 400's. Judging by previous years it should be opening in the next couple weeks.

Yep resident and it didn't show a 500 code until after the official results were up.

Never tried the backdoor lookup. My moose app is nowhere to be found though and my HF point app shows I have no moose points anymore...

I didn't call to confirm but heard heard the rumors they weren't doing the backdoor this year.

The backdoor is 100% open this year. I know 2 guys who showed 500 codes for sheep and goat before results were up.

Your buddies tag is strange. Everyone I know that drew had a 500 code before results were up. Also, the 500 code worked for tons of people on Bowsite.

The only confirmed 500 codes that I saw were for sheep, none for goat before the actual results were posted...That could be because the goat draw took longer this year when one of the non resident hunt codes was omitted from the booklet...

The moose draw is "in progress" right now as they have been taken down from the points section. When you see your deer points taken down, you will know that the backdoor is not far away, if 500 codes are posted before official results are...

Well, they don't want someone to be mad if they screwed something up and have to correct it and you go from drawing to not drawing.
