Cold bore shot (CBS) is also clean and dry. What's your difference in inches between your group center and your cbs and which one do you zero?

I run mine dirty, but a cold, clean barrel shot has same POI. The only difference is the MV is slower for the first 3-5 shots. The ultimate zero check is to fire a group over several days (one shot a day) with a cold bore. I usually get even tighter groups this way. I look for the first shot to be splitting hairs and find it easier to get multiples that way over a few days.

I would think you would want the zero to be the cbs on a hunting rifle as that's the shot I expect to harvest the animal with.

Dirty. I even run my work rifle dirty, but do clean it more frequently then I do my hunting rifle. My work rifle gets shot a lot so as soon as I start to see groups opening up I clean it

I have been using KG cleaning products and the cold bore has been within my groups with my work rifle.
