Hey guys,
I’m finally getting to build my Christensen Ridgeline 30-06. It comes standard with a radial brake but can find nothing with regards to any type of torque. Anyone know how tight it’s supposed to be? It does not need a crush washer but just want to make sure it’s to spec.

Thank you in advance

I don’t have a Ridgeline but do have the Mesa. Mine from the factory was hand tightened, I’ve taken it off a time or two and always just tightened it by hand again. I just make sure it’s tight every once in a while while I’m shooting or hunting and don’t worry about it. If you want to make sure it’s not going anywhere a dap of blue locktite should do the trick.

Shove a screwdriver through the holes, put the buttstock between your feet and tighten as tight as you can (unless you can bench over 500#). If it comes loose your gun will not shoot where it did when the brake was tight. Locktite is released with heat, so on a hot day at the range, shooting, it can come loose. If you want to use a thread lock for heat, Flexbar Rocksett is heat resistant to 2000 degrees.
