I am selling my long range precision hunting rifle. This Christensen Mesa chambered in 7mm Rem Mag is a great rifle for any serious hunter who is looking for a high quality production rifle. Given the accuracy I have been able to get out of this rifle, it would also make for an awesome long range target rig. I have gone through the the painstaking process of finding the perfect load for the rifle and have been geting groups of less than .5MOA with factory ammo. Typically, rifles that shoot that well will cost twice as much. Most production rifle companies will guarantee Sub MOA accuracy out of the box, but most of them are not shooting sub 1/2 inch. You might get lucky and get a brand new tack driver, but why risk it?

I have some Nosler 160 gr for the rifle left over that I am willing to part with. The cheek weld is just duct tape and foam and can peel right off if you want. SCOPE and RINGS not included.

Does that stock have a grippy texture like the soft touch ones on some remingtons or is it a hard smooth surface?

I sent a Mesa 7mm rem mag down the road that was also a 1/4 moa shooter with 160gr accubond handloads. If i didnt know better I might say this is it. Recoils like a 243. These are very underrated rifles...glws

Hey I really appreciate you getting back to me on this but now have to replace my furnace after it fired for the first time this year. Good luck on the sale, this one is going in the 'one the got away' column for me.

Exactly..I seen the same thing but I didnt want to be "that guy". The caliper indicating "lines" states its a 1/2" group in inches and 13mm in metric...a more accurate guage than the electronic scale which needs to be zero'ed out first. I sure though its an honest mistake and the rifle really does shoot as well as claimed.

Why are you getting rid of such a great gun?

justin davis: selling the gun to put the funds toward a dedicated PRS rifle.

pacoalcracker: This was an honest mistake. Thanks for letting me know. You're probably right, I will zero out the calipers and re-measure tonight then I'll update the post with the new measurements. That being said, 1/2" at 100yards with factory ammo is still excellent for factory guns.
