Chest holster and rifle sling

I have a Mule Deer hunt coming up in Wyoming this fall. It will be in Grizzly country. I would like to have my 10 mm on my chest. It is a rifle hunt in the back country. We will have horses for the long hauls, on foot for the shorter/steeper/more difficult. I would prefer to have both hands free. If I put my head through the sling, the sling will end up crossing my chest over a chest holster. I don't care about taking some time to get the rifle out, however, I want to always have immediate access to the 10 mm. Any ideas on how to accomplish both? The rifle sling has a small loop on it and I was thinking that perhaps I could attach that to the chest holster with a carabiner to help prevent the rifle from coming off my shoulder without having to hold it...but I'm not confident that holster wouldn't just twist around my body and let the rifle drop. Open to any suggestions.

Lots of options for a gun bearer , like this one -

IMHO, you're there to rifle hunt and you're not likely to surprise an angry boar on a big noisy horse when your rifle is in a scabbard. I'd rather have a rifle in a grizzly bear fight. If you're concerned about grizzly bears, keep your rifle handy. More hardware is just more fuss and likely to get in a mess when you've soiled your pants and HR is in the 170+'s.
