How is the sizing on the black ovis? I have heard it runs big and small. I normally wear a medium.

I would say this fits like a bigger small, I typically wear a medium in most hunting clothing brands, the medium was too big, the small was just a little tight. Kind of depends how tight you like your baselayers.
