I'd like to make my first three pins green, middle pin yellow, and bottom three pins green. Has anybody switched these out on your own? If so, how did it go? I'd like to be able to do this without having to send my sight in to Spot Hogg if possible.

If it is wrapped, it is a PITA. If not wrapped it is simple. Spot Hogg will do it and get it back to you in a couple days.

It can be done but it's not super easy, drop it in the mail and spot Hogg will do it for you.

I didn't think it was bad. I have swapped all my seven deadly pin sights and and one Hogg it to green yellow green all the way down. I used a small pick to maneuver the new optics in place. Just pull the old ones out. Just take you time and don't be in a rush. The newer bullet proof pins are a little more difficult but doable

Good deal. So it sounds like you also have to hold the end of the fibers up to a lighter to melt the end. Any tricks to this, or is it pretty straight forward? I'd hate to end up with different sized melted ends on the pins if I don't know what I'm doing.

I hold the flame close until I see the first part began to melt and push it in the head of the head pin. Never had a problem

I always keep the flame above the pin, don't bring it in from below as you can't control the heat. Just move the finer up toward the heat and the end will just melt ever so slightly when it gets hot enough.
