Interesting read. One thing I took home from the report was how different my view of an area within the study, as I hunted a specific drainage there for 8 years, is much different than the unit as a whole. Our individual myopic views are much different than what is happening at the landscape/herd level.
It is a good reminder that units are fairly large and when the elk are limited in "your area", venture into the other places in the unit.
what I thought was weird was looking at the movement of the tagged cows in unit 63 and how they move to unit 54 instead of 53, I guess they didn't read the Colorado Atlas Migration and Routes map did they.
