I am interested in the Chama for a base layer over a lightweight short sleeve merino tee and not as an outer layer jacket.
I am 5'10" and 175-180lbs.
What I gather from past threads regarding FL sizing in general is that I would probably need a medium for a snuggish fit.

Does a medium sound right? I hate returning stuff.

Thanks

I am wearing a large at 5'7" 160 with a little room...I am thinking the large may provide the snuggish feel your looking for if your more top heavy. If larger lower frame then would go with the medium for snug fit.

I wear xl in most everything, the Chama hoodie fits true size for me, or maybe a touch big. I can wear it with a light or mid weight base layer under it and it fine.
Hope this helps

I think it runs big. I'm 6-0 200 and a large is a little loose. If I was to buy again I would get a medium as it stretches out after wearing it for a day.

I'm 5'11 155lbs and for me the size medium Chama hoody fits too loose. I'd think for you the size medium would fit snug like you would expect a base layer to fit. By comparsion my size medium Llano fits nice and snug as I'd expect, as I understand it this is by design as the Chama is not considered so much a base layer as a mid layer. Personally I don't mind if my mid layer is snug, especially with merino as anything you can do to minimize snags helps lengthen the life of the garment.

I'm 5'10" 160 and the size medium fits fairly loose on me. I tried on the small though and it was too snug for me, so medium is the best overall fit.

Im in the same boat as Weekender. I am 6' 200 lbs. I prefer amy clothes to have a snug fit. I wear a large with all other manufacturers. All pieces of gear that I own from First Lite are Mediums.

I am 5'7" 180 and the llano and chama both fit perfectly as well as their short sleeve shirt. not to tight, not to loose.

I'm 5'11" 170lb, I like my FL wool tops in size L and the jackets in M. I have the Llano and 2 Chamas, all in size L.

I wear a medium FL Llano short sleeve (which is true to size) and a medium FL Chamo hoody over that. The medium definitely runs big but not too much so. It actually aids in pulling over base layers and provides a little more breathability by not being too snug. For reference, I'm 5'10" and 165 lbs.

I'm 6'0" and 180 and the large is loose and the medium is snug (not tight). Prefer the medium, just don't put it in the dryer.
