Cerakote smoke color, pic

I had always previously used Birdsong Black T with very good results. Had a chance to do an action in Cerakote Elite Smoke and from the pics I have seen, I really like it. This barreled action is headed back my way now.
See how it holds up with rough use.

As a side note, used same reamer as my 6.5x47 chunk. Same load that worked in it, is working in this one. Easy is nice.

140 vld and IMR4451.

Dont know why, but I've always wanted a 6.5 lapua. Seems like an efficient accurate round. It's a shame more factory loadings aren't offered.

Shooting well in the Mcmillan, still unbedded or did it get lug love?

Actually shooting great in my old walnut stock. McMillan is adding a 2" rail to the forearm. Probably trying it unbedded first. May get hunted in walnut though as I hunt in a desert anyway.

The guys at McMillan turned that rail super fast for me, so looks like it will be back early next week. Pretty excited to use it this fall.
