Does anyone have any suggestions for a good all-around cartridge for a good price of around 700 dollars that could take down from coyotes to moose?

I've got a Ruger American in .270 Win that I load 85gr Barnes RRLP's in for coyotes, it could also be used for pronghorn, deer, elk, and moose with appropriate bullets.

The cost is going to have more to do with the model of rifle than the cartridge.

I second this.
You could get it done (the moose part) with a smaller caliber but when it comes to animals that can f you up, best to error on the side of caution Imo.

I’d get the T3x stainless model if possible, and also pick up a limbsaver recoil pad.

30-06 works great in moose, people do use smaller cartridges but I never understood why. To each their own.

A Tikka T3 chambered in any larger 7mm or 30 cal should get the job done. Others have already mentioned the 30-06. The 7mm Rem Mag or 7mm-08 would also be great options!
