Does anyone know if there is otc oppertunity in Canada if you have a resident with you? I have some athletic cousins who are big into marathons and not hunting but that may be coming hehehe!!

I have lived in the net and bc. I do not know of any otc tags for a non resident for sheep. You can be guided by a relative in bc and the Yukon but sheep are excluded from animals that can be guided (have to go through an outfitter).

thanks for the replies. Looks like it works for moose, elk and deer.

Google BC Non-resident hunting. It will list specifics. I took my brother on a permit to accompany caribou hunt this year. No sheep, grizzly, or any species licenses where they are limited entry for the region/unit you want to hunt. Note that goat is available in certain areas.

Yep, as already said, no grizzly, sheep, or anything that is limited entry.(our draw system) And keep in mind that it is a permit to accompany, which basically means the host is not paid by the out of province hunter. There are certain eligibility requirements, i.e., I can host my friend from Alberta, because he is simply a non-resident. I cannot, however, host my friend from Washington State, because he is a non-resident alien. If I had a brother, and he lived in Georgia, I could host him. I apologize in advance for the horribleness of the BC government website.

Another thing If I remember correctly is the person that will accompany must have had a big game license for the last 3 or so years. So, it's not as simple as cousin who has never hunted going to Walmart, picking up license, and then the both of you hunting that fall. BC has the net cast tight for NRs and NRAs pretty good.
