these the deep six?

so these are super small diameter, and you need to use "deep six" broadheads? is every broadhead available in deep six?

what is an outsert?

i've been shooting GT arrows for my entire bowhunting existence..

i dont seem to see a 0.300" spine. what's the skinny? (<<--pun!)

Yes, these use the deep six inserts. They are like the H.I.T. inserts but a smaller thread so they can fit inside the arrow. If you use the " deep six" inserts you will have to use a "deep six" broadhead which will have a smaller ferule and thread pattern to fit.

Not all heads are available in a " deep six" model but a lot of popular heads are.

An outsert slides on the outside of the arrow (think original carbon arrows) and uses the standard thread size, so you can use any broadhead on the market. Easton does not offer an outsert, but you can get an outsert for the Easton injexions from a couple different manufacturers like firenock. Also, some people are using the "half outs" from victory archery on their injexions with good success.

Right now .330 spine is the stiffest they offer.

I've been using Injexions for over a year now, and love them. They are much stronger than my previous Axis--thicker wall and thinner diameter and steel insert and more threads per inch on the insert. They also do very well in a cross wind. My favorite broad head, the QAD Exodus, comes in Deep Six, so I am set there as well.

The offer Injexions in carbon or FMJ models. Smaller diamater, which requires a smaller diameter insert deemed "deep 6", which requires deep 6 broadheads and field points. In theory, the smaller diameter allows benefits in penetration and reduced cross-wind variance.

In the past few seasons I've shot Bloodlines, FMJ's, A/C/C's, and now the FMJ Injexions. Love them. Shooting better than any other arrows I've let fly over the past few years.

The stiffest the come in s 330. I shoot 71.5lbs at 28", with 100gr tip and have no issues tuning. Finished weight 455 at 280fps. I know several people shooting 80lbs at 27.5" - 28" that tune just fine.

Cool. So if you opt for an outsert you add a lot of weight up front? No spine issue?

And I assume you run your rest higher to keep the arrow thru the Berger.

You don't necessarily have to run the rest too high. The Injexion is small enough IMO you have 3 options: center, top of shaft top of hole, bottom shaft bottom of hole. Personally I set mine up at the bottom of the Berger getting the arrow closer to my hand and the fulcrum of the bow. It also gives me a little more vertical (up) playing for tuning once I set my d loop position. I set it just nock high with a lower tie and d loop combo and then vertical the rest from there.

As far as getting more weight up front it really is more related to your arrow length and draw weight. I think you'd have trouble with a 29.5" shaft 330 with a 93 SS VAP insert and 100 gr field point/broadhead with a draw weight of 80-82 lbs. I run an arrow just under 27" with a 28" draw length and just 100 up front and have no issues.

I just ordered some of the FMJ injections and i am hoping i can run them out of both my 70 and 80 pound bows. My draw is 28 inches.. I usually like my broadheads even with the front of my riser so i usually cut them at 28 also.. What vanes are you running?? also what is the total weight on them
