In the past I’ve ordered several high end optics from CameralandNY and they have always had great prices, free shipping, and quick service. From memory I’ve bought ( SLCs, Trinovids, Geovids, Leica rangefinder). They are knowledgeable about the products and eager to help. I’ve always commented on others threads when they are looking at suggestions for optics to give them a call. I wanted to start my own thread to commend them for the little things.
1. They are a family owned company who competes, or beats big box stores.
2. They aren’t trying to up sell high end products and work within your budget.
3. They are active on many forums helping many users fill their optics needs. (Here, Archery Talk, Rimfire Central, and others)
4. They take the time to provide a great SHOT Show review every year.
5. They do the little things right and this is what I wanted to expand upon. I recently bought a new air rifle and decided to upgrade the scope on my target 10/22, and my hunting 30-06. I’ve been looking at many options and decided the deal on the Bushnell Nitro 5-20 for my air rifle was too good to pass up at $199. I ordered the scope late Saturday (11pm) night online. I quickly received an automated email that night. I received a shipping notice on Sunday they indicated 3-4 business for receipt. The scope arrived Tuesday afternoon! That is outstanding service on a low-mid level product. Doug has advertised on multiple forums that Bushnell was offering a 29% discount on multiple products, which is good service. CameralandNY did the little extra, by including the mail-in rebate information with the package as a reminder to submit for the rebate.
Now to see if I can budget in one of those Meopta Meopros they have on sale.
