Calling all 243 owners!

Getting back to 243 topic, i have had no issues seating 105 a max in a factory chamber, but haven’t tried anything larger in my factory barrels.

wasn’t a Tikka, but it was a SAAMI chamber.

What magazine system? Would a 243 have difficulty in an AICS magazine with the longer 243 bullets?

I feed mine through an AICS setup on my savage with a custom barrel. No issues at all. I have tone of room.
243 case is 2.045” with a .242” neck
A 105 Amax is 1.237 with a .2” BT
With the bullet seated with bearing surface right at the end of neck it’s only 1.803+1.037 for a COAL of 2.84”.
My AICS has 2.95” of room.

****my math may not be perfect, but my loaded rounds have a ton of room in an AICS mag****

In my reloading notes it says 2.830 max oal for factory magazine, I could be wrong though. So if it's there or under, should be just fine! Most of the 90&95gr bullets I've tried hit the lands around 2.750" in my rifle.

Berger VLD Hunters are vey accurate and great on game. Took an antelope last year at 359 yards. One shot and down. Also 2 whitetails.
