Bagged this bear at 20 yards. Started off predator calling, had one come in and I couldn't see it for about 20 minutes, just heard it making its racket. Brother showed up and saw it from a different angle, raised up to shoot, but the bear walked off by then. Headed on to a different spot, stalked to within 20 yards of this fella....pop behind the shoulder, done deal.

Western Washington bear.

I called in my first last weekend on our archery opener. He came galloping down the hill and stopped broadside at 30 yards. Unfortunately, it was a few days before my bear tag was valid.

I wasn't too far from Sauk. I have called in several over the years, it is quite a rush. I love calling bears, my favorite past time.
