Cabela's Instinct Extreme Frame Mods

I was at cabelas yesterday and picked up this frame in the bargain cave for $59 it's missing the top bar, but that doesn't seem to effect function. Does anyone use this frame? If so, do you add lashing straps, or just use a dry bag and the compression panel. Just trying to get an idea of my options. Thanks.

We added a couple 1" ladder locks to each side of a guide frame. We just used a tri-slide to mount to the vertical tube.
