Practicing elk calls for 23 . Think I’ve got a decent clean sound to bugle and cow calls.. But are there any tips on adding that extra rasp to the sound both bugle and cow? I struggle in this aspect….I’m starting to go through the elk nut app, but just how crucial is it to add the extra layer to these vocalizations and when has it made a difference for you ?

Thanks

Definitely not a deal breaker if you aren’t buzzing and bawling. Great sounds for sure if you get good at them, and know when to, and when not to use them. All elk sounds will work in hunting situations when used in the right place at the right time.

Go over the App. When on elk sounds choose the sounds you want to know more about & how to add those unique tones. It's there all on video as well as written content under Tips & what each sound represents to the elk! It's a matter of communication; not just making an elk sound! With this in mind you will know when a specific bugle or cow sound is necessary! Thanks!
